Myanmar Facts, The Union of NGOs of the Islamic World condemned the massacre of 14 Rohingyas Muslim and injuring many others in a communal cum religious riot on the 8th of June 2012 in Maung Daw Township, north of the Arakan State, Myanmar. Reports coming from Myanmar, confirmed that the riot has spread throughout Arakan where houses were burnt, and killing spree perpetrated by the Rakhine Buddhists on the Rohingyas Muslim reminiscence of the massacre in 1942, 1978 and 1992 where thousands lost their lives due to religious hatred similar to the ethnic cleansing in Bosnia in 1992 and now in Syria worst than the world has ever seen.
Rakhine, a predominantly Buddhist state bordering Bangladesh, is home to a large number of Muslims including the Rohingyas, described by the United Nations as one of the world’s most persecuted minorities.
In Myanmar facts, the Myanmar government considers the Rohingya to be foreigners, while many citizens see them as illegal immigrants and view them with hostility, describing them as ‘Bengalis’ with reference to the neighboring Bangladeshi.
UNIW believes that the root of the problem is the racist attitude of the Myanmar government that does not want to recognize the Rohingyas as its own citizen. As the result, more than 1 million Rohingya are scattered as refugees all over the world.
UNIW strongly urged the United Nations to intervene immediately by sending UN Observer and Peace Keeper to Arakan to ensure that the riot will not turn to genocide. ASEAN should sanction Myanmar to stop this atrocity. Organisation of Islamic Countries (OIC) should act promptly to save innocents lives from this heinous crime of humanity.
UNIW also urged Humanitarian NGOs to start sending humanitarian aids to Arakan. Meanwhile UNIW is working on a logistical support on the ground to render the humanitarian assistance with the help of the local counterparts.
Violence in the Muslim Rohingya villages in the state of Rakhine (Arakan) in Burma (Myanmar). Including murder, looting, burning, capture still. International bodies, such as the UN, was powerless against the ethnic group of Buddhists, who supported the joint forces 'security' Rakhine.
Thousands of Muslim Rohingyas have been killed (may God accept them) from the slaughtered by the brutal ethnic Rakhine. Tens of thousands are homeless and suffering from hunger and treatment in the Arakan. These are the photographs of evidence of atrocities committed against the Muslim Rohingyas ethnic Rakhine.
Burmese media have spread the related propaganda. They illustrate that the Rohingya Muslims are terrorists and the killing and burning the homes of ethnic Buddhist Arakan. One proof that the ethnic Rakhine people who commit violence are may be seen from the clothes they are wearing clothing typical of Buddhist or shorts. Keep in mind that most of the Rohingya Muslims, they used to wear knee-length sheath, may very rarely seen wearing shorts. But do not rule out the possibility that the disguise dressed like a Buddhist ethnic Muslim Rohingyas, the evidence alone, police arrested Burmese Rohingya youths who then tortured, they were given guns to their pictures taken and circulated. These photographs were taken from various media sources in Arakan and some of the videos published on Youtube.
Thousands forced to flee to neighboring countries, Bangladesh, to save themselves. A number of Muslim Bangladesh and made it to be still in the Lada refugee camp, south of Bangladesh, which is operated by British Muslim NGO that provides medical and food aid. However due to limited, makeshift refugee camp built with not even feasible. Not all can live in the Rohingyas refugee camps, caused thousands of them have been expelled by the authorities of Bangladesh because it is considered illegal. While some Muslims were also detained by police, border police and punished even dried on a hot beach sand.
Myanmar Facts, Rohingya Muslims either still living in Arakan and were evacuated to neighboring countries, was in critical condition, need immediate help from the international community. Until now the Rohingyas Muslim still live in fear.
